Over the course of 20 years in Ukraine, ITU Member EPAM Ukraine has supported numerous higher education institutions, schools, lyceums, etc. In addition to revising and updating STEM curriculum and creating its own educational projects, the company invests in improving the material and technical infrastructure.
A total of 19 educational institutions, mostly universities, have received equipment from EPAM Ukraine. As a result, these institutions now feature well-equipped laboratories, safe learning spaces and high-quality technology to meet the needs of students and faculty. In 2024 alone, EPAM Ukraine delivered over 1000 units of equipment to educational institutions.
As a leader in the Ukrainian IT market, the company has provided the necessary educational and teaching equipment to its partner institutions across the country. The institutions that received the equipment are located in Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Zabolotne (Vinnytsia region), Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Uzhhorod.
This equipment will be available for use by over 22,000 students and hundreds of faculty members across Ukraine. We believe that the opportunity to study offline is extremely important, especially considering that over the last five years, first due to the pandemic and then the full-scale invasion, opportunities for in-person learning were severely limited for Ukrainian youth, — says Denys Grynov, Head of Educational Programs at EPAM Ukraine.
In total, the company has donated desktop computers, monitors, and laptops. These devices have been used to equip learning laboratories and departments. In Kharkiv, particularly at Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics (KNURE), efforts focused on creating safe shelters for offline learning.
Offline learning is not just about greater effectiveness (though, based on our own experience, we know that direct interaction between instructors and students yields faster results). It’s also about developing flexible skills, improving interaction and enhancing teamwork. All of this is extremely beneficial for a young professional, adds Denys Grynov.
In 2025, the ERAM Ukraine team will be making new equipment transfers with plans to focus on areas that suffer from full-scale invasion, as well as on locations with a large number of students.
