The most useful projects of the companies were selected by the “Business” magazine. The rating includes the projects of the NGO “Techiia Foundation,” which is part of the TECHIIA holding. For two years, the Foundation has been helping the regional children’s hospital in Kropivnitsky. In particular, it equipped surgery with modern equipment that allows saving people’s lives.
The magazine’s editorial board notes that the rating contains the stories of successful and mutually beneficial cooperation between business and society, and calls to be inspired by them. Among such examples to follow is the Techiia Foundation project. At the beginning of September 2019, the managing partners of TECHIIA holding and founders of the Techiia Foundation Yuriy Lazebnikov and Oleg Krot purchased a trepanation surgical system and an electric coagulator for the hospital for a total cost of more than UAH 1,5 million.
The new equipment helps to perform safe and bloodless surgery on the brain. Thus, one of the biggest problems for families of young patients — the need to go to Kyiv for complex surgeries — has been solved. Now it is possible not to waste time on the transfer but to operate patients in Kropivnitsky.
In November, the Foundation donated to the hospital a modern surgical lamp worth UAH 306 thousand. It can work in various operating rooms, is powered by a battery, and allows to perform surgeries even without electricity.
Since the beginning of 2018, Oleg Krot and Yuriy Lazebnikov have helped the hospital by more than UAH 4 million. Founders, employees, partners, and clients of the holding, who were united by the Techiia Foundation for the sake of good deeds, joined the charitable projects.
“It is nice to hear positive statistics from doctors: the number of patients who have restored their health and saved their lives is constantly growing. We understand that the equipment gives a real effect, which is now being constantly increased thanks to the hospital with the latest equipment and modern medicines,” Oleg Krot notes.
