Webinar “Introduction to Embedded Development: Your First Step into Embedded Systems” by ITU Member Beetroot Academy
How do devices that integrate programming and electronics function, ranging from small sensors to complex industrial and transportation systems? What underlies the field of embedded development, and why is it in such high demand today?
Who can join the event? Developers with experience in backend, frontend, or mobile; engineers, testers, and technical specialists; those who are already familiar with C/C++ or have experience with electronics.
Webinar participants will:
- Understand what makes embedded systems special and why Embedded is a separate ecosystem in IT;
- Assess whether your technical knowledge is sufficient to get started;
- Create a personal plan for transitioning to Embedded Development using our roadmap;
- Learn what projects you can create after basic training.
At the end of the session, there will be a Q&A segment, along with recommendations for your next steps, including a practical workshop and a comprehensive Embedded Development course.
Webinar trainer Volodymyr Kalyuzhny, Embedded Software Engineer will talk about:
- How Embedded systems are already changing industries;
- Where embedded systems are used: smart home, automotive, defense, industry;
- Real-life cases and examples of devices;
- Embedded engineer tools: languages, platforms, environments;
- Starting your career: where to begin and where to go next.
Criteria: currently working in the technical field (regardless of role or company), living and working in Ukraine, confident knowledge of basic C/C++ syntax, understanding of software operation principles (in any programming language), English proficiency sufficient for reading technical documentation.
