HR Meetups: Powered by AUK is a joint initiative of the IT Ukraine Association and the American University Kyiv, bringing together HR leaders from Ukrainian IT companies with the academic community.
The focus of the event is the power of art and behavioural economics as a lens for a deeper understanding of leadership and people in times of change.
The event will be moderated by Oksana Rudyuk, PR Director at American University Kyiv, and Chairperson of the Ukrainian Public Relations Association.
The theme of the presentation by Olga Balashova, Art historian, Curator, Media Theorist, and Candidate of philosophical sciences, will be “The Monumental Art of the River Station as a Synthesis of the Primordial and the Modern in Ukraine”. During the presentation, the speaker will guide the audience through a conversation journey across centuries and talk about the River Station as a portal at the intersection of eras, meanings, and artistic codes.
Volodymyr Vakhitov, Director of the Institute of Behavioural Research at the American University Kyiv, will present on the topic “Behavioural Economics in Wartime: What is Happening?”. In this presentation, the speaker will:
- Discuss the impact of war on our behaviour, perception of information, and decision-making.
- Explore the workings of propaganda and the influence of emotional messages.
- Examine the decision-making process.
At the end of the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session and exchange experiences during a networking segment.
The meetings will take place quarterly, with each becoming a platform for inspiration and knowledge sharing.
