HR Meetups: Powered by AUK is a joint initiative of the IT Ukraine Association and the American University Kyiv, bringing together HR leaders from Ukrainian IT companies with the academic community.
The event for ITU member companies will focus on productivity in the age of burnout. Amid the realities of full-scale war, prolonged stress, adaptation challenges, loss of motivation, and uncertainty, businesses are facing an entirely new environment.
The event will be moderated by Oksana Rudyuk, PR Director at American University Kyiv, and Chairperson of the Ukrainian Public Relations Association.
During the panel discussion with veterans on the topic “Career Development for Veterans in IT: Opportunities and Barriers”, participants will explore:
- Where should veterans begin their IT job search after service?
- What career paths in IT do veterans most frequently choose?
- What are the main barriers during the transition to a civilian profession?
- How can HR create adaptive environments within teams?
- What educational programmes and Upskilling/Reskilling solutions work best?
- Mental health support and ensuring a safe space in the workplace.
- How can business systematically integrate veterans: policies, procedures, and onboarding?
In the case study, ITU Member company will share practical, real-world case studies of working with veterans:
- support and adaptation policy;
- development programmes;
- mental health support tools;
- outcomes and measurable impact.
The event will include a micro-forum, an interactive Q&A session, and networking opportunities for participants to exchange experiences.
The meetings are taking place quarterly, with each becoming a platform for inspiration and knowledge sharing.
