Business presents an alternative bill on “Diia city”

A press conference will be held on November 25 at 12:30, at which the largest business associations in Ukraine will present an alternative bill on the implementation of the “Diia City” concept in the IT industry.

“Diia City” is a progressive and ambitious experiment of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, which aims to introduce a special legal regime for the IT industry. However, the draft law №4303, registered on November 2, contains a number of significant shortcomings that risk becoming an obstacle to maintaining the growth rate of the IT industry in Ukraine.

An alternative bill from the IT industry was entitled “On stimulating the development of information technology in Ukraine.” It was developed on the initiative of the largest business associations in Ukraine – the American Chamber of Commerce, the European Business Association, the IT Ukraine Association, and the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association. On November 18, it was registered in the Verkhovna Rada under number 4303-2 by People’s Deputies Kira Rudyk and Andriy Nikolayenko with the support of 16 representatives of five political forces. The bill is presented by:
  • Kira Rudyk, People’s Deputy, leader of the Voice party;
  • Andriy Nikolayenko, People’s Deputy, Batkivshchyna Party;
  • Galyna Isakiv, Head of the Information Technology Direction, American Chamber of Commerce;
  • Olga Kunichak, Manager of the Information Technology Committee, European Business Association;
  • Constantine Vasuk, Executive Director of IT Ukraine Association.
Date: November 25 Time: 12.30 – 13.30 Place: UNIAN news agency, Khreshchatyk st. 4 Broadcast at the link: https://www.unian.ua/static/press/live. ______________________ Contact information: Julia Fedotovskyh  fedotovskyh@itukraine.org.ua (098) 782 84 96
