SAP opens free access to learning, practice and AI technologies for Ukrainian students and educators

SAP opens free access to learning, practice and AI technologies for Ukrainian students and educators

Publication date:

Publication from:

SAP Ukraine

Today’s labour market needs professionals who understand digital technologies, cloud solutions, data and artificial intelligence. For students, gaining exposure to these technologies while studying provides an opportunity to acquire relevant knowledge and practical experience. For educators, it offers new ways to enrich academic programmes with modern technologies and practical learning materials.

That is why SAP is developing educational initiatives for students, educators and universities, providing free access to learning resources, cloud systems and hands-on experience. In 2026, these opportunities include self-paced learning, working with SAP cloud systems, exploring AI and AI agents, modelling business processes and preparing for the start of a professional career.

SAP Learning Hub, Student Edition

One of the key opportunities available to students is SAP Learning Hub, Student Edition — a free 12-month subscription to SAP’s learning platform after verification of student status, with the option to renew access. The programme includes the full SAP Learning Hub content library, access to SAP cloud systems for hands-on practice and live sessions with SAP experts. In addition, students can take an official SAP certification exam and receive a certificate free of charge.

Students can also access a dedicated Student Zone, which brings together learning resources, development opportunities and career information. Registration is available using a university email address.

Educators can benefit from the Lecturer Zone — a platform offering free materials to support the educational process.

New Opportunities for Learning About Agentic AI

In 2026, SAP expanded its offerings for learning about agentic AI. SAP Build Basic Trial with Joule Studio enables students and educators to create, configure and test AI agents directly in the browser, as well as work with tools for process automation. Free access is available for 30 days and can be renewed.

SAP RPT-1 Playground is also available for those who want to explore the fundamentals of AI and machine learning. This free no-code tool allows users to upload their own data in CSV format and test classification and regression scenarios. No previous SAP experience is required.

For educators, SAP has developed Agentic AI in the Classroom: A Faculty Guide to Building AI Agents with Joule Studio — a step-by-step guide with materials and examples that can be used in the classroom.

Business Processes Open Lecture (BPOL) 2026/2027

The annual Business Processes Open Lecture (BPOL) programme combines academic knowledge with practical work in SAP systems. In the 2026/2027 academic year, the programme will start on 5 November 2026 and run approximately until April 2027.

The programme includes 21 weekly online sessions with a total duration of around 60 hours, as well as independent hands-on work in SAP systems. Upon completion, participants receive two free attempts to take the SAP certification exam and earn a certificate. Registration is already open and is available vial the link.

Business Process Modelling and Transformation

Students, educators and universities can use SAP Signavio free of charge — a suite of tools for modelling, analysing and improving business processes, including Process Modeler, Journey Modeler, Process Intelligence, Governance and Transformation Management.

Universities can obtain the full version with a dedicated workspace by applying directly to SAP. Students and educators working independently on thesis projects, research or self-learning can receive individual access to a business process modelling environment through SAP Learning Hub, Student Edition. More information about the available access models and the programme is available online.

SAP LeanIX Academic Edition is also available for educators. This free tool supports enterprise architecture management, including IT landscape modelling, application portfolio analysis and risk assessment. Students receive access through their lecturer. To get started, educators need to register in SAP Learning Hub, Student Edition and submit an application through their personal account.

SAP University Alliances

Universities can join the global SAP University Alliances programme, which brings together more than 2,800 educational institutions across over 100 countries. The programme is free of charge for institutions that meet the eligibility criteria.

SAP also hosts Global Knowledge Sharing Sessions for educators and academic partners — free online meetings focused on knowledge exchange and technology demonstrations. The next session will take place on 23 September 2026.

Another opportunity for the academic community is the SAP Academic Conference 2026, which will take place in Budapest from 27 to 29 October. The conference will provide an opportunity to explore the latest approaches to teaching SAP technologies and AI, exchange experiences, participate in hands-on workshops and build professional connections. Participation is free of charge for members of the academic community.

Gaining First Professional Experience

For students and graduates, SAP offers global programmes designed to support the start of a professional career.

The SAP Young Professionals Programme is a free online programme lasting two to three months for recent graduates. It combines training in SAP technologies, certification preparation and skills development for those starting a career as an SAP consultant. Programme availability depends on market needs in each country and requires participants to have the legal right to work there. Current opportunities can be found through the SAP Digital Skills Center.

Students can also apply for the SAP Internship Experience Programme (iXp), a global paid internship programme lasting from 10 to 52 weeks, with opportunities in areas such as AI, SAP BTP, data and finance.

SAP also offers the STAR Programme, a two-year paid rotational programme, as well as paid Working Student positions. All current opportunities are available through the SAP Careers — Students & Graduates Hub.

Technology and artificial intelligence are transforming not only business but also the skills required of future professionals. That is why it is important for students not only to gain theoretical knowledge, but also to work with modern technologies and see how they are applied in practice. SAP makes these opportunities accessible to students, educators and universities, helping them develop the skills that will be in demand in the digital economy,

— says Hanna Mikulytska, Managing Director of SAP Ukraine.

SAP Community Kyiv

Students and educators who want to stay up to date with Ukrainian and global SAP news, educational opportunities and events in Ukraine can join SAP Community Kyiv and become part of the technology community. Registration is available here.
