Ukraine’s IT industry continues to increase its contribution to the state budget. According to the State Tax Service, in the first half of 2026 the IT business paid UAH 31.64 billion in taxes – UAH 6.23 billion more than in the same period of 2025 (UAH 25.40 billion). The largest share of revenue is traditionally generated by the “Computer Programming” economic activity classification (KVED).

Broken down by type of economic activity, the State Tax Service data shows the following picture:
The stability of tax revenues from the IT industry confirms the sector’s ability to keep operating despite the pressure of the full-scale war and economic instability. This is the result of companies’ day-to-day work: flexible business models, a reputation as reliable partners in international markets, and the support provided by the Diia.City regime. At the same time, the industry continues to advocate for better conditions for development, including greater predictability of tax policy,
adds Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of IT Ukraine Association.
