The IT Fundamentals course by EPAM University is back

The IT Fundamentals course by EPAM University is back

Publication date:

  • 10.11.2022

Publication from:

EPAM

Acknowledging the success of the IT-Fundamentals pilot project, EPAM University opens access to the basic course programs in a self-study mode. So, Ukrainians who need high-quality IT training regardless of location, previous experience or pace of learning will be able to study in a format convenient for them.

Currently, the IT Fundamentals Self-Paced Program, one of EPAM University’s most popular programs, is being relaunched. Just to remind you, in the spring, more than 18 thousand participants expressed a desire to learn the basics of computer engineering in the pilot project, more than 1660 of them successfully completed the course and went on to study specialized programs. The goal of the project is to lower the threshold for entry into the IT sphere, as well as minimize the social prerequisites – the war affected unemployment rate and forced many Ukrainians to seek professional retraining.

Designed for beginners, this time IT Fundamentals is opening in a self-paced format, with free access from anywhere in the world. The only condition is knowledge of English. The materials can be completed at a comfortable pace – neither the start, nor the end date are fixed, there are no qualifying stages. To better understand which IT profession is worth paying attention to, the company has developed a career  orientation test that in a matter of 15 minutes will help to choose those specializations in which the candidate is likely to succeed due to a “match” in psychological characteristics and natural abilities. Besides, it will help to choose the optimal training method. In addition to the basic course of IT Fundamentals for beginners, there are five specialized courses available for those, who already passed that stage:
  • Java Self-Paced Course;
  • Automated Testing Self-Paced Course;
  • Software Testing (manual);
  • DevOps Self-Paced Course;
  • Front-End Self-Paced Course.
Requirements for candidates of specialized programs are typical: have good English (level B1), understand the principles of object-oriented object-oriented programming (OOP), understand the materials offered additionally for independent reading in the chosen direction. Study materials are available immediately after registration without selection stages. In the DevOps direction, access to the materials is provided after passing a technical test. After completing the course, participants receive a certificate from EPAM University and advice on further study of the profession. In the future, new specialized courses are expected to appear. Not to miss the announcements about them, you can follow EPAM University’s social networks on Facebook and Тelegram.
