Business sent the offer to the President of Ukraine to support the IT

IT Ukraine

The largest business associations of Ukraine have prepared a number of proposals to the President of Ukraine in order to stimulate the development and growth of the IT industry.  The official letter was signed on August 27 by the IT Ukraine Association, the European Business Association, the American Chamber of Commerce, the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs, and the Ukrainian Venture and Private Equity Association (UVCA).

To stimulate the development of the IT industry, signatories offer the following solutions:

  1. avoid any additional regulation of the IT industry;
  2. maintain the existing tax regime and fixed tax rates for the IT industry and guarantee IT companies the opportunity to freely choose the forms of cooperation with IT specialists;
  3. legislatively strengthen the protection of IT business from potentially illegal actions by law enforcement agencies and promote the protection of property rights;

The business community also paid special attention to the issue of education development, proposing to develop mechanisms of public-private partnership in the field of education development in the field of IT.  It is also proposed to simplify the procedures for obtaining immigration permits to Ukraine for foreign IT specialists.

It should be noted that IT is one of the fastest growing sectors of Ukraine’s economy. This growth was made possible in part by the efficient contract model «the company-FOP». It is the contractual form of interaction between companies and specialists that allows the industry to grow by 25-30% annually, therefore, to pay more taxes to the state budget and most importantly – to create thousands of high-paying jobs even in the global economic crisis. That is why in our address to the President we focused on the most important factors for us.
— said Kostiantyn Vasyuk, Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association
