DEF.Talks — Identity Transformation: Life after the uniform

DEF.Talks — Identity Transformation: Life after the uniform

Publication date:

  • 23.07.2025

Publication from:

UNIT.City

On July 30th at 5:00 PM, “DEF.Talks: Transformation of Identity – Life After Pixel” will take place in Kyiv — an event that once again brings together experts, military personnel, and representatives from the tech sector for an open discussion on one of the most important issues of today – the transformation after service.

The discussion will be moderated by Oksana Horbunova — COO of BazaIT and CEO of BazaIT/Defense. Invited guest will be:

  • Yevhen Halych, serviceman, rock musician, leader of the rock band O.Torvald;
  • Masi Nayem, active serviceman, co-founder of the NGO “Принцип”(Principle);
  • Ruslan Prykhodko, Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.

Key topics include:

  • Technology as a support: how digital solutions help to stitch military and civilian experiences together;
  • Who shapes the post-service environment: state, market or community – and what role does each play;
  • Transition to ‘citizen’: how technology softens the moment of identity change and opens new paths.

Click here to register.

The event organisers are UNIT.City, BazaIT Defense, UADUT Cluster and UNBAI. Media partner — Defender Media.

DEF.Talks is a space for those who are creating a new reality at the intersection of defense, technology, and society.
