UKRAINIAN CHOICE — A New Leadership Ethic

Publication date:

  • 28.05.2025

Publication from:

Uklon

In Ukraine, the UKRAINIAN CHOICE project, launched by ITU Member Uklon, is a national initiative that identifies companies demonstrating openness, innovation, integrity, and resilience during times of transformation.

The focus is on businesses that are creating in Ukraine: products, services, jobs, and new opportunities for society. UKRAINIAN CHOICE recognises leaders who are not only working but also building trust in Ukraine’s economy.

In difficult times, the country is held up by those who don’t just exist but create. We acknowledge those who are building a new economy, developing local production, boosting export potential, and shaping Ukraine’s reputation globally,

— Mykola Soroka, Head of the Organising Committee of UKRAINIAN CHOICE.

Key elements of the initiative:

  • Selection of companies based on criteria of integrity, openness, innovation, and local value;
  • Priority — Made in Ukraine: companies creating products, services, and technologies in Ukraine;
  • Nominations in 50+ sectors — from information and defense technologies to financial services, culture, education, and industry;
  • Reputation evaluation — involving independent experts, industry communities, and civil society;
  • Public recognition at the national level — media support, interviews with winners, special projects in the media;
  • A platform for uniting responsible businesses that are transforming the country;
  • Promotion of success stories from companies that inspire and set a new leadership ethic;
  • Analytics and insights on new standards of trust and corporate reputation in Ukraine.
