IT-Enterprise continues implementing a comprehensive digital ecosystem for Delta Sport, an authorized distributor for the top sports brands in Ukraine, including Nike. The retailer contacted the IT-Enterprise team with a request to replace the old software and consolidate and streamline its processes for more efficient business management. The project is focused on digitalizing sales and warehouse management processes, which will allow for even more efficient work with the partners and stores of the retail chain.
At the first stage, the project team introduced software for the cashier’s workstation (Point of sales, POS) to ensure prompt execution of sales-related business processes. IT-Enterprise specialists installed POS in the first two Nike stores in December 2023. The team is currently replicating the solution in other stores.
POS and cash register project
POS consolidates all tasks connected with the sale, exchange, and return of goods, as well as the support of various payment types (cash, certificates, etc.) There are multiple options for connecting devices (barcode scanners, scales, cash registers, or POS terminals for acquiring).
By default, the main sales window in POS works with barcode scanners and requires the presence of a responsible seller. In addition, more options are available: adding goods through the catalog/barcode scanner; searching for goods by barcode; marking goods with a promotion; hints for offering free bonuses (packaging, handouts, etc.).
When redeeming bonuses, the solution relies on two-factor authentication and certificate validity checks. Also, the customer’s balance is checked after they have paid for the entire purchase with one certificate.
The software has a ‘pending receipt’ option. It is enabled in the POS settings and is used in case the customer decides to put the sales process on hold. The cashier can then suspend the receipt and continue to serve other customers, thus preventing long waiting times at the checkout.
One POS can work with several cash registers and connect several POS terminals and Internet acquiring. Part of the project for introducing a modern sales management ecosystem in Delta Sport stores is to equip the points of sale with up-to-date electronic cash registers.
WMS project
Based on the comprehensive no-code/low-code IT-Enterprise platform, the implemented POS and cash register software products are seamlessly integrated with the ERP and CRM systems, as well as with the warehouse management system (WMS). This opens up wide opportunities for Delta Sport sales management, business optimization, and generating consolidated reports for selected periods.
An important step in creating a sales management ecosystem for Delta Sport is large-scale warehouse digitalization. The WMS project ensures end-to-end coverage of all processes: from the sales department operations to shipping products from the physical warehouse to wholesale buyers.
Before the implementation project started, Delta Sport had run a careful selection of a digital partner, eventually opting for the IT-Enterprise ERP system and no-code/low-code platform. One of the cooperation benefits mentioned by Oleksandr Lisetskyi, the project manager of the ERP system replacement project at Delta Sport, is that the chosen product covers all aspects of the current national regulations and requirements for accounting and retail.
