Olena Berestetska, Head of International Cooperation and Representative of IT Ukraine Association in the UK, presented the Do IT like Ukraine research on the development of the IT industry in 2022 at the Stockholm Tech Show 2023. The event was held at the Kistamässan conference complex in Stockholm, Sweden on May 3rd and 4th.
The IT industry is the only export industry experiencing not a decrease but a rise in 2022. Through its flexibility and reactivity, it brought 7.4 billion dollars in export revenue to the Ukrainian economy and, even more, managed to grow by 10% compared to the previous pre-war year. Regarding the industry expectations in 2023, nearly just under half of the companies are expecting the growth of their businesses. This development is exponential and cannot be stopped. The world is rapidly transforming, and the development of the industry continues and will continue under any conditions,
— Berestetska said.
Participants of the annual Stockholm Tech Show are companies from all around the world offering IT solutions and services, product development, high-tech innovations, hardware, and software to help organisations take the next steps in digital transformation and the introduction of new business models and processes. In 2023, the event brought together more than 2,700 participants, 100 exhibitors, and 530 delegates.
The collective booth of Ukraine was organised by the "Office for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Export" State Institution, the Diia.Business national project and Open Trade Gate Sweden in cooperation with the IT Ukraine Association.
