The results of the project with the Ministry of Education and Science

IT Ukraine

In January, an educational project for MES employees was launched, which is based on the exchange of experience with representatives of IT companies. The project aims to develop hard & soft skills in the project teams of the Ministry of Education and Science, to tell more about the specifics of the IT industry and to become a platform for networking.

The project was initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the IT Ukraine Association. During this time, it was joined by Intellias, Computools and SoftServe. In total, there were 5 training meetings of MES employees with IT specialists.

Artur Seletsky, Deputy Minister of Education for Digital Transformation at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, says: The topics of our seminars are quite diverse – from a general overview of project management to purely technical issues related to architectural solutions. We plan that thanks to this cooperation we will be able to introduce even more effective project management practices in the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and subordinate institutions. We are confident that this will have a qualitative impact on our work. I want to emphasize that the issue of trust between the state, business and society is very important. Thank you to those who joined the training! We plan to continue to join forces with various companies to implement effective management approaches in the civil service and for the digital transformation of education in Ukraine.

We invite IT companies to join the educational initiative and become project speakers! If you represent an IT company and want to share useful information with MES specialists, join the project! To do this, please write a letter to yanushevska@itukraine.org.ua.
Sabina Augunas, a business analyst and participant in the educational project, comments:Together with colleagues, we participate in online training for the team of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. First of all, we want to note that the training itself is well organized and has a comprehensive approach. Experienced speakers talk at webinars about important areas of work of the project team. This will help us build operational processes, establish project management, learn to interact with stakeholders and manage teams.
We remind you that the IT Ukraine Association actively cooperates with the Ministry of Education and Science to develop IT education. In December 2020, they re-signed the Memorandum and launched a slack-platform for effective cooperation between member companies of the Association and the Ministry of Education and Science. It is worth noting that this is the first platform for rapid interaction between the relevant Ministry and the Association. Today, the Ministry supervises more than 50 digitalization IT projects.
