On March 26 an AntiVirus project was launched to prevent the spread of coronavirus 2019-nCoV and to assist Ukrainian medical professionals to fight it. The project had been initiated by the IT Ukraine Association, which unites the efforts of the leading IT companies in Ukraine.
As of today, Ukrainian medical institutions are in big need of help. They need both personal protective equipment for doctors, such as protective suits and goggles, disinfectants and respirators, etc., as well as various types of medical equipment. On the other hand, there is a great desire on behalf of IT companies to help. That’s why the IT Ukraine Association has decided to focus its efforts on assisting physicians by purchasing personal protective equipment and specialized medical equipment for them.
The goal of the AntiVirus project is to reduce the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine, to unite IT companies and regional IT clusters to help hospitals that currently need resources to combat its spread. On the first stage, we will focus on purchasing PPE for doctors and oxygen concentrators.
What the AntiVirus project team will do:
- Consolidate the needs of hospitals in fast supplies with medical equipment and personal protective equipment for medical professionals.
- Inform IT companies about current needs of hospitals.
- Work with providers of medical equipment and personal protective equipment for physicians.
