IT Ukraine held seven panel discussions within the Synergy International Educational Conference, which took place on December 13 at UNIT.City Innovation Park and gathered around 400 participants. More than 40 speakers from education, IT-business and government took part in the discussions.
Roksolana Stadnik, the Head of Department of Access to Public Information of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers spoke about the creative approach to the case on the national brand Ukraine NOW example. Volodymyr Semenyshyn Executive Vice President, EMEA region and Financial Services globally SoftServe, in his report reminded that the key to the success of any project is to take responsibility.
The first panel discussion focused on the interaction of business, education and government for the sake of sustainable development of the IT industry and the country as a whole. Alexander Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation; Yegor Studny, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine; Yuriy Antonyuk, Vice President of the company and Head of SEE Region EPAM Systems and Alexander Nikolyak, Chairman of the College of Students of Lviv Polytechnic National University participated in the first panel discussion. Most often the words were heard from the scene: collaboration and synergy, because the development of human potential lies in the sphere of education, business and authority.
After a brief coffee break, representatives of regional IT clusters came together to discuss the quality of education and development of regional ecosystems.
Within the panel discussion "Are we ready for the future" we talked about improvement the secondary and higher education’s quality to respond to the digital economy.
After lunch, participants of Synergy was invited to choose one of alternative streams. One thread was dedicated to adapting the next generation to the future, where X, Y, and Z generations shared their successful cases. Participants of the panel discussion “Digital Era Stream. New Formats of Learning” discussed current ways of acquiring knowledge and the importance of updating them all the time.
Separate discussions were devoted to the concepts of lifelong learning and the development of entrepreneurial culture and creativity.
At the end of the conference, networking and new business acquaintances awaited all participants. Thank to everyone who participated in Synergy and proved their indifference to the development and transformation of IT education in Ukraine.
