Publication date:

Publication from:

Sigma Software

On July 1, the Swedish IT consulting company Sigma Software announced registration opening for  the pan-Ukrainian startup project contest – IT_EUREKA. Sigma Software Labs, a business accelerator, became the driver of the competition.

Every year the contest gathers more and more talented startups from all over Ukraine. Among the most high-profile success stories of IT_EUREKA 2020 are Elomia (http://elomia.com), IOON (https://ioon.tech), Lawyerd (http://lawyerd.net/), which today receive offers from investors from Ukraine and abroad, win large-scale competitions: Kyiv Tech Hub, Startup Competition at IT Arena, Innovating Justice Awards, develop their products, and easily find new users on distribution platforms.

This year the competition will be held for the sixth time and will be supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Traditionally, the competition covers two areas: Hardware and Software. Startups-innovators who already have a ready prototype and understand the business aspects of their product or service are invited to participate. Applications will be accepted until August 20, 2021. The names of the semifinalists will be announced on September 1. Then they will have a mentoring program with experts in such areas as business, investment and finance, marketing and software development. In early December, the teams will have the opportunity to conduct a crash test of their startup and take part in a reader vote on the pages of the famous Ukrainian media – Vector. The final competition will be on December 15-16 in the online format. The expert jury of the contest will include representatives of innovation structures, venture businesses, international organizations and foundations, etc. Organizers have not yet disclosed details about the main prize. Notoriously that last year the main award was UAH 100,000.
