Odessa Polytechnic State University has started cooperation with the international IT company GlobalLogic, a Hitachi group company. Thus, this academic year more than 1,000 IT students will be able to develop technical skills and be involved in joint initiatives of the university and the company.
Within the collaboration, students will be able to obtain practical experience and prepare to work with real IT projects. GlobalLogic engineers will give lectures, act as mentors for young people, help students develop their own projects and share expertise.
In terms of the number of IT specialists, Odessa ranks 5th among Ukrainian cities and is actively developing in the field of technology. The university graduates more than 1,000 technical specialists each year, who join Ukrainian and international IT companies. We want to provide future specialists with opportunities to increase their professional skills and teach them practical thinking. With the support of the company and practicing engineers, we will help students better navigate innovations and prepare for further development in the industry, – says Sergiy Nesterenko, First Vice-Dean, Vice-Dean for Research and Education of the Odessa State University Polytechnic.Odessa Polytechnic State University is the first partner of the GlobalLogic Education initiative in Odessa. In Ukraine, the company already cooperates with 22 higher education institutions, and since 2018 the GlobalLogic group of companies has invested more than $4 million in the development of engineering talents in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. A significant share of these funds are allocated to Ukraine.
