On 23-24 September, at the Poznan Polytechnic (Poland), the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), where after a detailed examination of the application, included the IT Ukraine Association to the list of the Federation members.
IFIP is a leading multinational non-political organization in the field of information and communication technologies, founded in 1960, recognized by the United Nations and a number of other world organizations. Today, the Federation brings together IT communities from 56 countries on 5 continents, and more than 3,500 science and business representatives working together within the 13 Technical Committees of the organization.
Membership in IFIP opens up a number of new opportunities for the Association and its members, including:
- Access to a broad network of experts that brings together more than 40 national and international organizations in the ICT segment
- Promotion of the field of information and telecommunication technologies among international non-governmental institutions and state authorities
- Support of the IFIP community, the UN and other organizations in the further development of the IT industry in Ukraine
- Access to the IFIP`s digital library
The first significant joint project of the IT Ukraine Association and IFIP will be the World CIO Forum, scheduled for October 8-10, 2019. The international event will take place in Kyiv. Moreover, the next year, on the proposal of the Ukrainian Federation of Informatics, the Ukrainian capital will host the IFIP General Assembly, the main annual meeting of IFIP members, on October 11-13. We are convinced that both events will become an important tool in promoting Ukraine as a powerful technological and scientific center of Europe.
