IT Ukraine Association opens Western Ukrainian representative office

IT Ukraine Association at the center of the current global changes on the IT map of Ukraine due to the mass relocation of companies and IT specialists.

On June 21, we officially opened the Western Ukrainian Representative Office in Ivano-Frankivsk on the basis of the Promprylad.Renovation innovation center. Back in May, the Association signed the memorandum of strategic partnership with Promprylad.Renovation and agreed to jointly work on promotion of Ukrainian IT business interests and regional IT potential development. The representative office will operate in 5 western regions of Ukraine: Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Zakarpattia and Ternopil. Main operational areas are GR, international cooperation, education and communications. In the near future, we will launch a discussion club, meetings with experts and a CEO Brunch special format to discuss current issues of business relocation, work with clients, launching international projects and educational collaborations. Victoria Fedorenko, Deputy Executive Director of IT Ukraine, will represent the interests of the Association in western Ukraine. Please find the details about the activities of the Association in the presentation.

In the context of large-scale business relocation and the formation of new IT hubs, we strive to support our companies and the community, to find new points of development of the IT market through new formats and partnerships. Opening an office in western Ukraine was a logical step for us. The city of Ivano-Frankivsk has great potential to become a national IT hub, and the unique innovation center Promprylad.Renovation creates all the conditions for the formation of the necessary ecosystem for the development of IT business,

- Konstantin Vasyuk, Executive Director of the Association, said.

IT Ukraine Association is the largest unifying association of IT companies in Ukraine. During the War, the economic front is one of the most important, and the IT industry is, in fact, an export-oriented industry that is continuing to operate, pay taxes and attract investment to the country. Therefore, we gladly responded to the idea of opening a western Ukrainian office of the Association at Promprylad. We are convinced that this partnership will have a great synergetic effect for all participants,

- Yuriy Fylyuk, CEO of Promprylad.Renovation.

The concentration of Ukrainian IT business in Western Ukraine forms new modalities of the industry, the demand for new formats of interaction and networking. We clearly see a change in the focusing of our participants and partners and strive to be closer to them. Due to the known circumstances, we understand the importance of the Western regions of Ukraine for the future development of the national IT sector,

- Victoria Fedorenko, Deputy Executive Director of IT Ukraine and a representative of the Association in Western Ukraine.

We are also pleased to announce our partnership with the ‘Save Business Now’ Business Support Center, which helps relocated companies to integrate in the region. To date, 47 companies are located in Ivano-Frankivsk and the region, 12 of them directly at Promprylad.Renovation, including EPAM Ukraine and Beetroot.

Having cluster associations in the city is an important step in the development of a professional business environment. At a time when companies are diversifying their risks by opening offices in Western Ukraine, and surveys show that about half of citizens are thinking about moving to other countries, having jobs and high-quality associations is crucial in order to preserve our country's intellectual potential. ‘Save Business Now’ Business Support Center and the IT Ukraine Association are operating together to develop a series of events and meetings that will promote the professional growth of professionals in various fields of business,

- Alina Tokmylenko, Managing Director, Save Business Now, said.

The opening of the Western Ukrainian IT Ukraine office has found broad support among our participants and partners.

Strategic partnership with the IT sector is extremely important for us, because this area is able to remain productive even in times of crisis for the whole economy. We are confident that in the near future the growth and progress of the Ukrainian economy will begin with such companies - they are young, innovative and strive to develop with the country. Ukrsibbank joining the Western Ukrainian division of the IT Association of Ukraine gives us the opportunity to better understand our customers in the field of innovative technologies, and thus to create the most convenient and acceptable for them products and services. And the bank's wide understanding of all the features and nuances of this business will make the business itself more successful and will contribute to the development of the industry,

- Ruslana Tovtyn, Head of the Western Department of UKRSIBBANK, said.

The Chernivtsi cluster could not stay away from the opening of the Western Ukrainian office of the Association, as we have been cooperating within the framework of our strategic partnership for a long time. In the future we will actively participate in new initiatives, maintaining our key direction - the development of IT education. We are currently developing specific projects and joint regional initiatives with the IT Ukraine team,

- Dmytro Shkilniuk, Head of the Chernivtsi IT Cluster, shared his expectations.
