In October, veterans interested in the “IT for Veterans” program by ITU Member EPAM will begin their training.
The goal of the program is to help Ukrainian defenders learn a new profession in IT and start a career in the tech industry. The program is free and open to participants with no prior IT experience, regardless of age or geography.
The training consists of two stages:
The training will be conducted in Ukrainian, and the specialisation module will include interactive content in English.
Why is this important?
The program is not only focused on professional development and employment but also aims to help veterans adapt through learning. Classes will be held in small groups with support from teachers and mentors in a safe environment. Graduates from the initial cohorts have already joined the EPAM team as junior specialists.
