DXC Luxoft to Train University Teachers in Agile and Scrum

DXC Luxoft to Train University Teachers in Agile and Scrum

Publication date:

Luxoft

The IT company, member of IT Ukraine Association, DXC Luxoft Ukraine is launching a free course for Ukrainian university teachers on Agile software development and the Scrum framework. DXC Luxoft experts will introduce participants to the basics of Agile, the benefits of the Scrum framework, and how Agile approaches can be applied to learning.

We often hear from teachers that it is difficult for students to work in project teams. In this course, we will talk about modern and effective approaches to product development, team building, and the importance of feedback. Some universities are already successfully using Scrum to work with students on course and diploma projects, and we will be happy to continue to introduce teachers to Agile and Scrum,
— says DXC Luxoft Program Manager, Olena Kravchenko.
Interactive classes are held online, and the theoretical section is planned to be supplemented with exercises, tests, and real-life cases. Twenty teachers will oversee recruitment for the course. The training is free, but participants will be selected on the basis of applications that are to be submitted by July 15, 2021. The final list of participants in the course will be determined on July 20, 2021. The start of the course is scheduled for August 16, 2021 and it will last three weeks. Training will take place online twice a week (Monday and Wednesday from 16:00-18:00). During the selection, special attention will be paid to the motivation of the participant as they explain why this topic is of interest. An additional important criterion is English language proficiency. This is the second course DXC Luxoft is holding for teachers. This past spring, the company conducted a course on the basics of software architecture for Ukrainian university teachers who specialize in technical fields of study. From that first iteration, “Fundamentals of Software Architecture”, the following feedback was received from course participants:
  • “I really liked the richness and ease of presentation of the material. In addition, there were cool speakers with incredible experience!”
  • “This is a great opportunity to attend lectures from professionals who have practical experience. All the classes were valuable. I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to participate in this training. Thank you to the organizers and all the speakers for their work. Good health to all!”
  • “I want to note the practical orientation of the course. Each block of material is illustrated with specific examples, and it focused our attention and clarified our understanding of the information.”
DXC Luxoft is a global technology company, one of the leaders in the market of digital transformation and software development services.
