Online conference “Business Risks 2021. Criminal risks”

About

Sayenko Kharenko law firm, the Association of Corporate security professionals of Ukraine (ACSP) and ASIS Ukraine invite to participate in the online conference “Business Risks 2021. Criminal risks” scheduled for 20 May 2021.

Recently, public policy has tended to criminalize business offenses. Unfortunately, the role of corporate lawyers as “intellectual guides” in such offenses is growing. Given that the company’s in-house lawyer is almost always involved in the management decision-making, the potential criminal risks automatically increase for him, which can lead to both criminal and reputational consequences. Moreover. The attorney-at-law status does not always guarantee that corporate lawyers have unconditional immunity from law enforcement.

Ukrainian business and foreign investors are under increasing pressure of criminalizing certain forms of activity, and therefore the issue of the effective and legal protection of business is relevant and coincides with the declared path of the state development, namely – creating equal, safe and transparent conditions for doing business. Therefore, we are convinced that the speakers of the conference and issues to be discussed will make the event informative and useful for the Ukrainian medium and large business representatives, corporate legal advisers, as well as promote the dialogue between the legal and business communities to create a common approach for fighting common problems.
