Structure of Association



Conference (Assembly) of the “IT Ukraine” Members top management, held not less than once in six months, is the supreme body of the Association. According to the established practice, it is usually convened once in two – three months. The Conference considers the most pressing and important issues common for all Members of the Association, as well as elects the President, President – Elect and Vice – Presidents of “IT Ukraine”, listens to reports of the Managing Director Office and approves of the Association plans for a certain period. The President and Vice-Presidents are elected out of Full Members for one year term. The President – Elect is nominated well in advance, one year prior to his term, in order to be directly involved into the Association management.

Between its Conferences, the Association is governed by its Board, composed of the President, President – Elect, Immediate Past President, Vice-Presidents, Managing Director and top representatives of Full Members. The Board develops the strategy and tactics of the Association activity, hires and dismisses the Managing Director and his personnel, while controlling their work. The Board holds its meetings not less than once in a month.

 Managing Director Office consists of the Managing Director proper, his Assistants and Chief Accountant. It is responsible for implementing Association plans, as well as decisions of the Conference and Board, and is in charge of the Association everyday activity, together with the President represents it in contacts with bodies of power of Ukraine, foreign organizations and partners.

The Association has three levels of membership: Full, Associate and Academic ones.

Full Members of the Association, are its founding companies, as well as large ones (their personnel exceeding 100 persons), which have at least 5 year experience of work over international markets. Being Members of the Board, they directly participate in managing Association, pay the largest membership fees and send their top managers for election to the highest positions in it.

Associate Members of the Association are small and medium sized companies (with their personnel ranging from 10 to 100 persons), which are active at both Ukrainian and international markets. They enjoy all the advantages of their membership in Association, except for the authority only held by Full Members of it.

Academic Members of the Association are the Ukrainian higher educational establishments (irrespective of the form of their property), which prepare personnel for the IT industry, and also specialized R&D institutions. For this category, membership in the Association is free, but Academic members also enjoy all the advantages of membership in it.
